Great Faith provides people with biblical solutions to the problems they face, and the faith strategies needed to overcome them.

We create a desire to seek and please God, which leads to manifested success, abundance, and excellence in life. We elevate the priority of an individual’s relationship with Jesus Christ as his/her Savior, in conjunction with teaching and applying the systematic faith principles found in the Word of God.

We continuously look to quickly maximize new technology for our ministry to increase its impact on a local, regional, national and international scale.

Our Founders

Pastors Patrick & Angela Ligon

Great Faith Church was built on the foundation of hearing and obeying the voice of God. Like Abraham, God instructed Pastor Patrick Ligon to leave all that was familiar and go to a place that He would show him. In an open vision, God pinpointed the city of Sanford on a map of Florida; revealing how He needed someone to bring order to chaos. Pastor Patrick accepted this call and with the blessing of his current pastor, Bishop Leo C. Brown Jr., he started Great Faith Church in 2007.
During this time the Pastor Patrick and Pastor Angela visited a conference in Houston, Texas where they encountered faith teacher, Bishop I.V. Hilliard. It seemed as if he was speaking directly to them when he said, “more will be added on your way than when you start.” They immediately knew that this was a divine connection and that Bishop I.V. Hilliard would be their pastor, mentor and pattern for success in ministry and life.
They made the move from Washington state with their three daughters Britani, Jacqueline and Jamila. After sharing the vision of the ministry, Pastor Angela’s sister Dennise and her two sons Tyrece and DeAndre moved across the country to support as well. While the vision was great, their beginnings were humble. Church services were held in their home and Pastor Patrick preached consistently to a faithful congregation; his family.
Thankfully, he wasn’t moved by what he saw, only by what he believed. He taught faith to 7 people as if preaching to 20,000. From services in the Ligon living room, to a classroom trailer, to the University of Central Florida campus; where the ministry attracted a mass of college students; then on to auditoriums in an elementary and middle school, to now - Great Faith church continues to grow and lives continue to change.
God promised Pastor Patrick and his family that Great Faith Church would be a place where all kinds of people would come together and hear the voice of God clearly. A ministry where lives would be transformed by the power of the word. This remains true today. Constantly making faith moves, Pastor Patrick and Pastor Angela work daily to please God as leaders, as well as cultivate an environment at Great Faith Church that serves as a welcoming, safe place for people to build a long-lasting relationship with Christ.
