Sustain the Sight
Scripture
Hebrews 12:2 KJV
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Daily Big Idea
Jesus endured the cross by keeping the joy set before Him in front of Him.
Revelation
Seeing the end once isn't enough. You have to keep seeing it.
Jesus endured the cross “for the joy that was set before him.” Pressure didn't stop Him, and shame didn't stop Him, because He never lost sight of what was on the other side.
Pressure, pushback, hindrances, barriers, and distractions only work when the end is out of view.
You can't drive forward staring in the rearview mirror. The rearview mirror is small on purpose, and the windshield is big on purpose.
Sustaining the sight also means getting back in rhythm: an appointed time with God, every day, where you look at the end on purpose.
Key Statement
Pressure only wins when the end is out of view.
ACE Application
ALIGN: Look unto Jesus. Fix your eyes on the end, not the rearview mirror.
CONSECRATE: Lock in an appointed time with God: the same time, every day.
EXCEL: Put the promise where you'll see it several times a day, like your lock screen, mirror, or dashboard.
Faith Action

Then bring your promise to Ask in Faith Friday today, and let us agree with you in prayer.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith.
Just as He kept the joy set before Him, I keep Your promised end in front of me.
I take my eyes off the rearview mirror.
Pressure, pushback, and distraction will not pull my eyes off what You said.
Help me keep my appointed time with You and sustain the sight every single day.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
Faith Confession
I look unto Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith.
I keep the joy set before me in front of me.
Pressure does not move me, because the end is in view.
I don't stare backward. I reach forward.
I keep my appointed time with God.
Motivation is a view I maintain, and I maintain it today.
In Jesus' name.
