Speak to the Mountain

Scripture

Matthew 8:8 KJV

"The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed."

Mark 11:23 KJV

"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith."

Daily Big Idea

In the dream God gave you, the Word is the authority, and you hold it. So don't ask God to do what He told you to say.

Revelation

When God called me to start Great Faith Church, somebody told me, "The secret is with the centurion." He's the one Jesus said had great faith, and what did he understand? Authority. "Speak the word only." That's why this church is named Great Faith. And Jesus said "whosoever shall say unto this mountain." Not pray about it. Not complain about it. Say to it. My wife and I have lived this. There was a house that was out of reach for us, and we were making no money. We set the goal, partnered in faith, and the call came before it was supposed to. God stretched the time and gave us favor. The ceiling was never what God could do. It was what we were willing to believe and say. If you never use your authority, you'll keep asking God to do what He told you to say, and the mountain stays right where it is.

Key Statement

Faith speaks to the mountain, not about the mountain.

ACE Application

• ALIGN: Agree with the centurion. The Word only is enough.

• CONSECRATE: Stop talking about the mountain. Fast complaining about it for 24 hours.

• EXCEL: Speak to it. Use your scripture and your authority, morning and night.

Faith Action

Turn your scripture into a command to the mountain: "[Mountain], be removed, in Jesus' name. The Word says ______." Speak it out loud this morning and tonight. Then bring it to Ask in Faith Friday today, and let us agree with you in prayer. Also write one goal on your card that you can't pay for. That's the dream only faith can reach.

Prayer

Father, in the name of Jesus, I receive the authority You've given me. Like the centurion, I know Your Word only is enough. I stop asking You to do what You told me to say. I speak to this mountain, and I don't doubt in my heart. I believe that what I say shall come to pass, and I have whatsoever I say. Stretch the time and release Your favor. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Faith Confession

The Word is the authority, and I hold it.
I don't talk about the mountain. I talk to the mountain.
Mountain, be removed, and be cast into the sea.
I don't doubt in my heart. I believe what I say comes to pass.
I say it. I stand on it. I see it shift.
I have whatsoever I say. In Jesus' name.
