Self-Deception Is When Satan’s Lie Becomes My Logic

Satan begins with deception before destruction.

John 8:44 KJV
“He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him…”

Satan is the father of lies. He does not begin with destruction. He begins with deception.

In Genesis 3, his first attack was verbal:
“Yea, hath God said…”

He questioned God’s Word.
He challenged God’s instruction.
He made disobedience appear reasonable.

That is still his strategy.

At first, the lie may come from outside:
“You have time.”
“It is not that serious.”
“You can do it later.”
“This does not apply to you.”

But eventually, I begin repeating the lie to myself. That is when deception becomes dangerous.

Self-deception is when Satan’s lie becomes my logic.

Expose one lie you have been using to justify delay, disobedience, fear, or compromise.

I reject every lie that makes disobedience feel reasonable. The Word of God is truth. I will not repeat the enemy’s logic. I obey God.

Father, expose every lie I have accepted as logic. I reject deception and receive truth. Your Word is final in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
