The One Thing God Requires Is Faith

God’s primary requirement is not that I figure everything out. His requirement is that I believe Him enough to obey.

Scripture

John 6:28–29 KJV
“Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.”

Revelation

The people asked Jesus, “What shall we do?” They wanted works. They wanted steps. They wanted performance. Jesus answered by revealing the foundation beneath every true act of obedience: believe.

Before God requires my performance, He requires my faith.

Faith is not passive. Faith is the root system of obedience. When I truly believe God, obedience becomes the next logical step. The issue is not whether I can see the whole outcome. The issue is whether I trust the One giving the instruction.

This confronts the pressure to have everything figured out. God is not asking me to be omniscient. He is asking me to believe Him.

Acknowledge: I do not have to understand everything to trust God.
Confess: I believe God enough to obey His next instruction.

Prayer

Father, I believe You. I trust Your Word, Your wisdom, Your timing, and Your leadership. Deliver me from the need to understand everything before I obey anything. Give me faith for today’s assignment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Faith Confession

I believe God. I trust the One who sees the whole journey. I do not need every detail to obey the next instruction. Faith is working in me, and obedience is moving through me.
