The Storm Doesn't Ask Permission
You don't get to skip the storm. You only get to choose what you're standing on when it arrives.
### Scripture
Matthew 7:24-25 KJV
"Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."
### Revelation
Notice something people miss about this parable: both houses got hit by the same storm. Same rain. Same flood. Same wind. Jesus never said the wise man's house was spared. He said it didn't fall.
That means wisdom was never about avoiding pressure. It was about what was underneath the wise man when pressure came. You will not get to negotiate your way out of every storm this year. What you can control, right now, today, is what you're building your life on before it shows up.
### Key Statement
You don't get to skip the storm. You only get to choose what you're standing on when it arrives.
### ACE Application
Acknowledge: A storm is coming to every house, including mine.
Confess: My house is founded on the Rock, and it will not fall.
Execute: Do one thing today that only makes sense if I actually believe the storm is coming -- pray, prepare, or reinforce something I've been neglecting.
### Faith Action
Name one area of your life you've been building without checking what's underneath it. Do one concrete thing today to found it on the Word instead of on convenience.
### Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I don't ask You to remove every storm -- I ask You to help me build on the Rock before it arrives. Show me anywhere I've been building on sand and calling it faith. Found my house so completely on Christ that when the rain, the floods, and the wind come, I do not fall. In Jesus' name, amen.
### Faith Confession
I am not moved by what's coming, because I already settled what I'm standing on. My house is founded on the Rock. It will not fall.
