Wake Up
Scripture
Ephesians 5:14 KJV
"Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light."
John 3:3 KJV
"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Daily Big Idea
A lot of people are dreaming, but they're not awake. Before you can take dominion in the dream, you have to know you're in it.
Revelation
The word lucid comes from the Latin lux, light. A lucid dream is one where you know you're dreaming, so you stop watching and start deciding. For years, scientists said nobody could be aware inside a dream. Then in the late 1970s and early 80s, a Stanford researcher named Stephen LaBerge tested it. Sleepers agreed ahead of time to move their eyes left, right, left, right the moment they realized they were dreaming, and from inside the dream, with their bodies fully asleep, the signals came through. Awake on the inside while the outside was still asleep. That's the believer. The new birth is the great awakening. Jesus said except a man be born again, he cannot see. Your circumstances may still be asleep, but your spirit can be wide awake to what God said. And when you wake up, Christ shall give thee light. God turns the light on.
Key Statement
You can't change a dream you don't know you're in.

Faith Action
Set three alarms on your phone today (morning, midday, night) labeled "Am I awake?" When each one goes off, stop and ask: "Am I awake to what God said, or am I just watching my life happen?" Then read the area on your Reality Check card and say, "I'm awake to this."
Prayer
Father, in Jesus' name, I hear You say, "Awake thou that sleepest." I wake up. Thank You that I'm born again and I can see Your kingdom. Shine Your light on me. Show me every place where I fell asleep in the dream and started letting life happen to me. My circumstances may still be asleep, but my spirit is wide awake to Your Word. In Jesus' name, Amen.
